Tied Together

2026

Workshop

The Tied Together Workshop was open to lesbians as a space to connect, create and build community.

The session used the personal and lesbian cultural significance of the tie as a thematic anchor. Participants were provided with ties to customise and embellish, using physical making as a tactile entry point for open dialogue. This creative format allowed attendees to explore the intersection of sexuality and gender within the lesbian community in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Integrating hands on creativity with discussion was a deliberate choice to ease social nerves. Working on a shared, physical project lowers conversational barriers and gave participants a unified purpose. Ultimately, this blend of self-expression and artistic practice fosters deep connection, allowing individuals to share their lived experiences comfortably and profoundly.
