In the multimedia installation ‘Every Lesbian I Know Has Lived The Exact Same Life’, the artist explores the collective vulnerabilities, structural alienation, and unique relationship with intimacy shared within the lesbian community. The conceptual framework addresses the profound isolation of the closet, where the protective masking of one's sexual identity breeds a deep-seated loneliness and a starved need for genuine physical connection. By interrogating how systemic shame and internalised homophobia skew perceptions of lesbian attraction, the project examines the hyper vigilance lesbians experience regarding how their bodies occupy space.

The work is made up of as an immersive, eight-hour audio piece paired with a subtitled video, which viewers interact with intimately via a vintage rotary telephone. These recorded dialogues capture raw, open conversations between the artist and participants, mapping out the striking commonalities of their lived experiences. Accompanied by a book detailing the artist's real-time observations during these calls, the project functions as a vital archive designed to destigmatise lesbian romance, validate queer voices, and provide an enduring platform for collective healing.
